The Lviv Agglomeration Association is pleased to invite METREX members and European metropolitan partners to join the III International Forum of Agglomerations in Ukraine, taking place on 22–23 October 2026 in Lviv, Ukraine.
This year's Forum will focus on inter-municipal and metropolitan cooperation as a tool for development, resilience and Ukraine's recovery. The event will bring together Ukrainian local government leaders, representatives of European metropolitan regions, national authorities and international organisations.
Key topics include metropolitan governance, legislative frameworks for inter-municipal cooperation, integrated mobility, water and waste management, and the resilience of critical infrastructure.
The programme will feature panel discussions, practical workshops, inspiring public lectures by Ukrainian and international experts, and opportunities to exchange experiences and build new partnerships. Online participation will be available through a live stream, allowing METREX members and international partners to follow the Forum remotely.
The event was organized by the Association of Local Self-Government Authorities “Lviv Agglomeration” and Lviv City Council, in cooperation with and with the support of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe and the RELEVE project (Expertise France), which is part of the U-LEAD with Europe programme.
